Ex Waitress is a collective of creatives passionate about uplifting small businesses. Our team of full-time members, interns, and freelancers operate from a perspective of mutual respect and collaboration to build social media and marketing that allows smaller brands to take the center stage.

Carissa Duhamel

Owner/Founder
Carissa Duhamel is, in fact, an exwaitress. A decade ago this Mamoun's, BAR, Roia, and Atelier Florian alum traded balancing entree plates for balancing brand presences online. Starting her career in the early days of Instagram, Carissa held past roles as Social Media Director at Box 8 Creative, Social Media Editor at Fine Homebuilding, and Audience Development Strategist at the Taunton Press. In her time as a freelancer and then founder at Ex Waitress, she has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers for small businesses across industries such as hospitality, luxury homebuilding/AEC, aviation, real estate, and corporate sectors.

Dalmarys Matos

Project Manager
Dalmarys Matos brings extensive experience in project management, communications, and marketing. In her previous role as Chief of Staff at a creative agency, she managed over half a million dollars in revenue-generating projects, led cross-functional teams, and streamlined processes to improve budgeting and client communications. She also has a strong background in public relations, having served as Communications Specialist for the City of Bridgeport, where she handled press relations and public-facing content for key city initiatives. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Fairfield University.
